DPLAfest 2015 has ended
DPLAfest 2015 took place on April 17-18, 2015 in Indianapolis, bringing together over 300 to discuss everything from technology and development, to (e)books, law, genealogy, and education. The annual DPLAfest celebration will appeal to teachers and students, librarians, archivists, museum professionals, developers and technologists, publishers and authors, genealogists, and members of the public alike who are interested in an engaging mix of interactive workshops, hands-on activities, hackathons, discussions with community leaders and practitioners, and more. Jill Morris is the Executive Director of PALCI, the Partnership for Academic Library Collaboration & Innovation, a regional nonprofit library consortium made up of 74 academic and research libraries in Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, and West Virginia. For the past 12 years, Jill has enjoyed leading large library consortia where her primary responsibilities have centered around organizational leadership, collaborative collections, and eResource licensing and negotiations. Jill became PALCI's Executive Director in January 2019, after previously serving as the organization's Senior Program Officer and Associate Director. At PALCI she leads and supports strategic partnerships and innovation, collections activities, and community-driven initiatives, including open library infrastructure projects, like Hyku for Consortia (https://hykuforconsortia.org), a consortially-scaled institutional repository project, funded by IMLS. Jill is also one of the leaders and founding members of Project ReShare (https://projectreshare.org), a community-owned resource sharing solution that now supports PALCI's EZBorrow consortial ILL service. Prior to her time at PALCI, Jill was the Assistant Director and Interim Executive Director of the statewide NC LIVE consortium, supporting 200 public and academic libraries in North Carolina. Jill received her MSLS from UNC Chapel Hill and holds a BA in History and Adolescent Education from SUNY Geneseo.
