DPLAfest 2015 has ended
DPLAfest 2015 took place on April 17-18, 2015 in Indianapolis, bringing together over 300 to discuss everything from technology and development, to (e)books, law, genealogy, and education. The annual DPLAfest celebration will appeal to teachers and students, librarians, archivists, museum professionals, developers and technologists, publishers and authors, genealogists, and members of the public alike who are interested in an engaging mix of interactive workshops, hands-on activities, hackathons, discussions with community leaders and practitioners, and more. Matthew Sheehy is the university librarian, overseeing all of the operations of the Brandeis University Library. His goal is to provide services and collections that augment learning and research activities, as well as enhance the experience of the Brandeis Community. Prior to joining the Brandeis administration, Sheehy held leadership positions in access services at the Harvard Library, and reference and research services at the New York Public Library, was an associate dean at Adelphi University, and worked in other academic and public libraries. Sheehy has served on the program steering committee for the HathiTrust and is currently a member of the Shared Print Advisory Council. Sheehy earned a BM (music composition) from the University of Hartford, The Hartt School and both an MLS (Beta Phi Mu honor society for library and information studies) and MA (musicology) from the University of Buffalo.
