DPLAfest 2015 has ended
DPLAfest 2015 took place on April 17-18, 2015 in Indianapolis, bringing together over 300 to discuss everything from technology and development, to (e)books, law, genealogy, and education. The annual DPLAfest celebration will appeal to teachers and students, librarians, archivists, museum professionals, developers and technologists, publishers and authors, genealogists, and members of the public alike who are interested in an engaging mix of interactive workshops, hands-on activities, hackathons, discussions with community leaders and practitioners, and more. Jason Roy is currently Director of Digital Library Services at the University of Minnesota Libraries. In this capacity, he acquires, prepares and manages collection-related information in digital format for discovery and long term management. Jason fosters the creation of and access to research and scholarly material in digital form from across the campus community. Jason has conducted numerous workshops and speaks frequently on the subject of digital collections and initiatives. Jason has previously presented and chaired sessions at the annual conferences of the Visual Resources Association, the Society of American Archivists, the Minnesota Digital Library, Museum Computer Network, and the Archive-It.

Jason is also the project manager for the Minnesota Digital Library – Digital Public Library of America collaboration. This is a two-year grant project to help support and develop a national, open and public digital library.
