DPLAfest 2015 has ended
DPLAfest 2015 took place on April 17-18, 2015 in Indianapolis, bringing together over 300 to discuss everything from technology and development, to (e)books, law, genealogy, and education. The annual DPLAfest celebration will appeal to teachers and students, librarians, archivists, museum professionals, developers and technologists, publishers and authors, genealogists, and members of the public alike who are interested in an engaging mix of interactive workshops, hands-on activities, hackathons, discussions with community leaders and practitioners, and more. Scholarly Communications Librarian

As a Scholarly Communications librarian, Jere promotes and support open access publishing practices at IUPUI. These include the library's open access publishing fund, open journal system and institutional repository initiatives. In addition to advocating for new forms of scholarly communications, Jere provides education and consultation services relevant to authorship, metrics for impact, fair use and authors' rights. He also serves as a subject liaison for the IUPUI School of Public and Environmental Affairs.

Prior to joining University Library, Jere worked as an embedded librarian in the IU Center for Bioethics, where he managed a special collection of bioethics resources while collaborating on information ethics, research ethics, community engagement and health policy projects.
