DPLAfest 2015 has ended
DPLAfest 2015 took place on April 17-18, 2015 in Indianapolis, bringing together over 300 to discuss everything from technology and development, to (e)books, law, genealogy, and education. The annual DPLAfest celebration will appeal to teachers and students, librarians, archivists, museum professionals, developers and technologists, publishers and authors, genealogists, and members of the public alike who are interested in an engaging mix of interactive workshops, hands-on activities, hackathons, discussions with community leaders and practitioners, and more. Special Collections Librarian

As Special Collections Librarian, Sara Schmidt coordinates current digitization activities at Schreiner University’s Logan Library.  Sara serves as a university and community resource on physical and digital preservation of heritage materials in the Texas Hill Country.    In addition to her Special Collections responsibilities, Sara is also a reference librarian, functions as a subject liaison for history, political science, foreign languages, communications, and nursing, and teaches university courses on topics such as the Holocaust and global studies.  Prior to working in a university setting, Sara worked as a reference librarian at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.
